Not For the Faint of Heart by Lex Croucher

Genre: YA Fantasy, LGBTQ+

If you love books with fun character ensembles and good banter, you will love this one!

It’s a super cute read that follows Clem, an apothecary in training, as she goes on an adventure (against her will) with a band of Merry Men. However, the group is a bit more ragtag than Clem expected, and it’s led by none other than Mariel, Robin Hood’s granddaughter.

This book is full of heart and laughter, and even features a sub-plot of queer romance. It made me warm inside reading it!

The Humans by Matt Haig

Genre: Science Fiction, Contemporary Fiction

If you love books that make you think about what it means to be human, grab a copy of The Humans.

One day, an extraterrestrial lands on earth and takes over the identity of a college professor. At first, he hates everything about humans. But over time, he begins to see the beauty of humanity and what it has to offer. He begins enjoying literature, music, and learns about the most important thing of all – love.

This book made me stop and think about the small intricacies of humans and what makes them special.

Keeper of Enchanted Rooms by Charlie N. Holmberg

Genre: Cozy Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Romance

If you love cozy fantasy, don’t skip this one.

In 1846, a writer named Merritt Fernsby inherits an estate called Whimbrel House. Upon moving in, he learns that the house is much more than it seems. He enlists Hulda Larkin, an employee of the Boston Institute for the Keeping of Enchanted Rooms to help him manage the situation. What follows is a heartwarming story about magic, history, and protecting those you love.

There are 4 books in this series, so the cozy feelings continue!

Weyward by Emilia Hart

Genre: Fantasy, Historical Fiction

I suggest this read for all women out there.

This book follows 3 generations of women as they navigate challenges in their respective eras.  This books has strong themes of female resilience and women reclaiming their voice with magical realism weaved in. Additionally, all 3 characters have a connection to natural magic – whether they know it or not.

There’s nothing better than a book about women reclaiming their power. Despite some dark themes in the book, I felt warm on the inside knowing that I also hold this power within myself. Weyward is the perfect companion for a rich mug of tea.

She Gets the Girl by Rachael Lippincott and Alyson Derrick

Genre: YA Romance, LGBTQ+

For fans of tooth-rotting sweetness, I recommend She Gets the Girl.

Two girls – Alex, a shameless flirt, and Molly, an awkward introvert. They’re about as opposite as can be. But when they team up to help Molly win her crush, an unexpected connection develops, and they learn that opposites might just attract.

If you love stories like Heartstopper, Red, White & Royal Blue, or One Last Stop, consider checking out this fun, heartfelt read.

And there you have it—five books that feel like the perfect match for a warm mug of tea. I hope one of these finds its way into your hands the next time you need something cozy and comforting. If you’ve got a favorite tea + book combo, I’d love to hear it—drop it in the comments or send me a message. I’m always looking for more cozy reads to add to my list.
